I always turn around and the month is half (almost!) done. Hopefully your winter has had powdery snow with lots of family, friends, with time to wrap presents, and decorate the house. If the holiday elves haven't been by to help you accomplish the ever growing list, I hope you keep the traditions you love and throw out the rest. This is a magical time of year, and I'm always reminded we humans are a narrative people. It was bred into our conciousness to imagine, to remember, and to re tell. Every time I pick up the pen, I am blessed to have a new story to tell. New people to met, and new worlds to create. Whatever holiday you celebrate, I hope it brings wonder to you as well! |

I can admit now it was my fault.
Asking why is always the gauntlet throw down. Church and State. Now that was an excuse, a mindset, a state of being. So then the church: sacred, vessel, reverent. So then state: power-hungry, liar, games --me or her? Church and State. Mind and body. Peter and Paul. Yet, still the voice in the back of the mind murmurs seperation is the real lie. I look in the mirror and a strangers stares back at me. She is also murmuring into the night, running a faded rose-bud rosarie through her fingers. Speaking a dead language only the righetous know. For I have never been the praying kind. |
