I don't follow Hemingway's advice on everything, (tread carefully with him, good readers) but his attributed words: "Write drunk, edit sober" are ones that make sense unfortunately.
Did I mention I hate edits? Gah! The second novel is chugging along. Slowly. Doesn't help the novel is so much longer than the first one. Especially since that December deadline is moving closer and closer. Can't believe we've hit September?!
The goal though, the goal is to publish. Just have to focus on that. Right now, the small baby step is five pages a day. Five pages a day and I'll be finished with this round in three weeks.
Time that elusive thing. . .three weeks is so long, but December so close!
Oh well, I'll just write a few more blog posts. That allows for a glass of wine right? Hemingway would probably shake his head, but eh you got to take the wins where you can.
