But I digress. National Novel Writing Month starts Sunday, and I'll be joining a write-in here in Chicago while starting the furious scramble to hit those 50, 000 words.
What keeps tripping me up with the planning is the point of view. It's a tricky one to know which character should have the bulk of the story telling, especially from the very beginning. The first person view can seem the obvious choice. You immerse yourself in one voice, one character's world. . . and yet so confining to restrict the scene to one set of eyes. But if you jump from character to character, it's easy to lose track of the individual voices and motivations. . .forest through the trees. . .still not sure how it will go with the new story. I'll keep you posted.
Have a Lovely Weekend!
